Which material is the ideal choice

A wide variety of materials are available for creating a striking, large-format advertising tool, each suited to different purposes and situations.

Which material represents the ideal choice

Two commonly used materials are frontlit PVC banner and mesh net. But which one should you choose and when? In this article, we explain in detail which material is the ideal choice for which situations.

Frontlit PVC banner

This is a popular advertising material made from a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) base. Its smooth surface allows for detailed, saturated prints, making it the perfect choice when you want a high-quality banner with sharp, vivid colours — especially if you envisioned it in a custom size or shape. The PVC material is extremely durable, weather-resistant and UV-resistant, so it maintains its quality over the long term. However, keep in mind that it can only be printed on one side.

If you choose this material, be sure to tell the manufacturer where you intend to install it, as they can advise on the appropriate finishing method — such as hems, eyelets, etc.

Securing the product poses no challenge even for large-format prints — not even when it needs to be mounted on the firewall of a building several storeys high on a pre-installed bracket.

We highly recommend it for billboards, fences, exhibitions, sporting events and festival advertising, for both indoor and outdoor use.

Mesh net

A specialist advertising material with a grid-like structure that allows wind and light to pass through, thereby reducing wind load and wind pressure on the material — which is especially important for large surfaces.

Compared to frontlit PVC banner, mesh net is lighter, meaning it places less load on supporting structures and is simpler and easier to install.

We highly recommend it for large-format installations and for covering scaffolding during building renovations, where large areas need to be covered and wind dynamics can be significant. It is an ideal choice in locations where strong winds are frequent, as its wind-permeable structure reduces the risk of accidents and material damage. Its durability and resistance to weather conditions also make it an excellent choice for long-term advertising campaigns.

It is important to note that raw material suppliers only provide a warranty for mesh nets in wind speeds of up to 35–40 km/h. No warranty is provided for damage resulting from higher wind loads or stormy weather conditions with strong gusts.

Both materials are popular in advertising production, and we manufacture them daily for our clients.

In our opinion, choosing the right material not only increases the effectiveness of the advertisement, but also provides a safe and cost-efficient solution for a wide range of advertising needs.
