Acrylic lettering or plastic letters are cut directly from a solid acrylic sheet based on a die-cut template. The thickness of the base sheet varies between 3–12 mm depending on the intended application, but can be increased by laminating. The base material can be opal, white, crystal clear or coloured. It can be mounted upright on a stand or fixed directly onto a flat surface with adhesive. Acrylic lettering lends an elegant appearance as indoor and outdoor decoration in shops and offices, but can also be a sophisticated addition to the home.
