Between 13 and 19 June 2022, Szentendre hosted the most prestigious competition in the sport – one of the outstanding stops of the APT Padel Tour world championship series. Nearly two hundred players entered the APT HUNGARIAN OPEN, including the top twenty international padel stars.
We have previously reported on the marketing materials produced for Padel-Club Hungary Kft., which now added their full splendour to the event series.
This time, the newly produced press wall attracted the most attention, as photo sessions are a must at such a prestigious world championship event series.
In addition, we complemented our previous work with 16beach flags, 190 m² of mesh net, and 250 pcs of lanyards.
We are proud that, enjoying our Client's trust, we were able to support the promotion of the sport and the brand by producing several advertising materials.
But what exactly is PADEL?
Padel is one of the most entertaining, social racket sports. It is best described as a combination of squash and tennis, in terms of the court, the equipment and the rules.
A padel court suitable for competition covers an area of 10×20 metres, making it a few metres smaller than a tennis court. The court is enclosed by glass walls and partly by fencing, with a net dividing the two halves in the middle.
Padel is played with special rackets designed specifically for this sport, which are much lighter than a tennis racket and therefore easy for anyone to control. Their stunning variety and the graphics on the surface also make padel rackets a particularly eye-catching sight.
The ball used in the game looks and is the same size as a tennis ball, but has a looser structure, which means that an average 90-minute match can be enjoyed and played through with less stamina.
Padel is played in pairs on a court roughly 25% smaller than a tennis court. What makes this game truly fun and exciting is that the court is surrounded by plexiglass, so – similar to squash – the walls can also be used to send the ball to the other side. The really long rallies and funny moments are made possible by the exits level with the net, which players can use to return a ball that has left the court but is still in play.
Padel Club Bravos Szentendre is located at Kalászi út 3, on the premises of the Bravos Coffee Factory. We recommend trying out this game with family or friends alike – a great time is guaranteed.
