It's good news that there are still creative clients willing to go against traditional advertising formats… MKB Bank had already proven itself in this area earlier with its rotating, light-up chip bank card, and with its latest commission it sends a clear message: nothing is impossible when it comes to realising ambient outdoor advertising. As part of the bank's current campaign, a tree familiar from TV commercials was envisioned at two locations, "growing" out of the surface in three dimensions.
The implementation work was once again entrusted to Molino Kft. The execution caused no less of a headache than the previous advertising tool – said Tibor Tarján, the company's managing director. The trunk of the three-dimensional tree was made from plastic, foam and metal, painted in four colours, while a specially lightweight lattice structure had to be designed for the tree crown. Plastic green foliage was attached to this one by one, while the branches were formed by heating plastic tubes and bending metal wires, and fastening them together in a complex manner.
The printing and tailoring of the nets – measuring 200 and 300 m² respectively – also took place in the Molino Kft. workshop. Seven industrial alpinists and a cherry picker were required to assist with the assembly of the structure weighing over 500 kilograms, as well as with reinforcing the scaffolding.
